What Is LMDF?
LMDF stands for Laminated Medium Density Fibreboard. It's an MDF board with a high-pressure laminate bonded to one or both faces. The laminate is what gives it its colour, texture, and durability.
Compared to plain MDF painted on-site:
- Consistent finish — factory-applied laminate is far more even than brush or roller painting
- Scratch resistant — especially in high-gloss and UV-coated ranges
- Moisture resistant — the laminate face protects the MDF from humidity
- No painting required — ready to use straight out of the sheet

A clean matte finish in solid colours alongside its high-gloss counterpart. The matte option has no sheen — just a smooth, professional surface popular for contemporary kitchen cabinets. The Super Gloss version features a UV-cured surface that is extremely scratch-resistant.

Alnoor Lasani — High Gloss
A mirror-like finish with excellent scratch resistance. It is the finish customers ask us for most often on modern kitchens, usually in white, grey or black.
Worth knowing before you commit: a true mirror finish shows fingerprints and dust in a way matte never does, and it shows any unevenness in the carcass behind it. In a north-facing kitchen that is rarely in direct light it looks superb. Under a window that catches afternoon sun, expect to wipe it more than you would a matte door.

Which Range for Which Job
The short version: gloss ranges suit kitchen doors and smaller fronts, textured and matte ranges suit wardrobes and larger panels, and the patterned ranges are for feature work rather than everyday doors.
